Thanks to all of you readers who've submitted the names of doctors, fertility specialists, and other health providers who've been super-supportive and positive (as opposed to judgmental, weird or plain mean) as you've navigated your pregnancy and childbirth in your late 30s or 40s. We've started a little list of Health Providers and Organizations in our Resources section, and we're always looking for more names to help anyone who is starting out on this path or thinking about it. We want to cover as many cities and regions as we can, so please keep the names coming.

Also, the News page is where we compile relevant links on health news, opinions, and other reports affecting moms 35-plus. The links come from this site and beyond, and we're always looking for a heads-up on related articles and other info you find valuable for our demographic.

Fertility Ed: Does It Stand a Chance?

We’ve said it before but here we go again: Women and men know surprisingly little about how our bodies work, procreatively speaking, beyond the basics. Along the way we tend to pick up a few more clues than we got in our first awkward parent or sibling-led convo about the birds and bees . But not that many more clues.

Unless we’re medical professionals or biologists, chances are we’re out of luck.

As one study pointed out, less than half of American women and even fewer men who recently graduated from college have any concept of when fertility might start to decline. Shocking? Yes. It should be.
